Frequently Asked Questions.

What experience level do I need to enroll?
None at all — we welcome complete beginners through advanced competitive riders. Our lesson program is designed to meet you exactly where you are and take you where you want to go. There is no age limit for our programs.
Do I need to own a horse to take lessons?
Not at all. We have 7 school horses available for lessons. If you'd like to develop a closer working relationship with a single horse, we also offer leasing arrangements. And if you're ready to own, our team will help you find the right horse.
What is included in Full-Care Boarding?
Our full-care board includes twice-daily feeding and stall cleaning, daily grooming, tacking and untacking, daily turn out, leg icing and bandaging after jumping workouts, supplement and medication administration, mane pulling, blanketing, tack cleaning and oiling, and basic wound care. Aurum also manages the deworming program and schedules all farrier, dental, and veterinary services. Please note that to ensure the continuous development of horse and rider, all boarded horses must be enrolled in a minimum of a four-lesson package per month.
What age is appropriate for Summer Camp?
Our Summer Equestrian Camp is designed for children and young riders ages 6 and up looking for a structured, fun, and educational equestrian experience. No prior riding experience is needed. Sessions run Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM.
Where is Aurum Performance Stables located?
We are proud to operate out of Hacienda Royal, one of Miami's premier equestrian facilities, located at 6155 SW 120th Ave, Miami, FL 33183. Our state-of-the-art location offers professional arenas, premium stabling, and everything needed for an exceptional training environment.
Do you participate in horse shows and competitions?
Yes — competition is central to the Aurum philosophy. Our students regularly participate in local and regional shows. Our trainers prepare riders for competition with targeted show-prep sessions and will accompany students to shows. We have a strong record of student wins in South Florida.
How do lesson packages work?
We offer structured monthly packages of 4, 8, or 12 lessons. Lesson packages are due on the 1st of the month. A 10% late fee will apply after the 5th day of the month. Any lesson given prior to the package being paid for will be charged at the full non-discounted rate plus a $15 late fee per lesson.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Credit Card payments are subject to a 3.5% administrative fee. Bank transfers via Zelle will not incur a fee; please transfer to info@aurumperformancestables.com. A credit card authorization form must be kept on file for all boarding and lesson package clients.
What is your cancellation policy for boarding?
To permanently remove a horse from the stables, Aurum strictly requires a 30-day paid written notice. Failure to provide this 30-day notice will result in the forfeiture of your security deposit.
